Who is covered under PIP?

PIP covers the vehicle’s owner and extends coverage to the vehicle owner’s family members with whom he or she resides. This can include children and other household members, provided that the resident family member does not own their own separate vehicle. Passengers in the vehicle may also be covered by the policy, provided the passenger does not own a vehicle of their own.
